Throne Rules

  1. The price. The first throne costs US$10. Each new monarch pays the highest price ever paid plus 10%, at least US$1 more, rounded up to the dollar. Refunded or charged-back payments do not count.
  2. The quote. Your price is held for 30 minutes from the moment you start checkout. If two people pay at the same time, both are crowned in the order their payments are confirmed, and the next price is based on the highest amount paid. Nobody is refunded for this.
  3. The reign. You rule until the next payment is confirmed. There is no minimum time, and being dethroned is not a reason for a refund.
  4. Adults only. You must be 18 or older to claim the throne.
  5. Forbidden on the throne:
    • sexual or pornographic content;
    • hate, harassment, threats or glorifying violence;
    • scams, phishing, malware and misleading offers;
    • gambling, betting and casinos;
    • anyone else’s personal data, such as emails, phone numbers or addresses;
    • impersonating real people or brands, and content that infringes someone else’s rights;
    • anything illegal.
  6. Links. Links are optional: http(s) only, no shorteners, no adult or gambling sites. We check them against safety lists, including Google Web Risk, and show them with nofollow. We do not endorse the sites you link to, and links can be switched off at any time.
  7. Reports. Anyone can report a reign with the Report button. To send a formal notice of illegal content, write to support@internetmonarchy.com as explained on the contact page.
  8. Moderation. An automatic filter checks text before payment, and a person reviews every report. If something breaks these rules, the moderators may hide the message, the link or both. The monarch keeps the throne and their place in history, and there is no refund. We email the monarch the reason, and they can reply to appeal.
  9. Refunds and chargebacks. Purchases are final, except when the law or the payment provider grants a refund. A refunded, withdrawn or charged-back reign is removed from the archives, and the previous monarch returns.
  10. Repeat offenders may be refused future claims.

Founding reigns

The first five thrones (US$5 to US$9) were seated by the house to start the line of succession. They are marked as founding reigns, nobody paid for them, and they never count as money paid. The first real purchase is the US$10 throne.
