Who is responsible
Pablo Gómez, an individual based in Argentina, is responsible for the personal data processed by Internet Monarchy. Contact: support@internetmonarchy.com. For card payments, Creem also processes your payment data as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy.
What we collect
- Your claim: name, message, flag, optional link, email and language. The name, message, flag, link, amount paid and dates of your reign are public.
- Payment references: provider, payment and order IDs, amount, status, dates and the notifications the payment provider sends us, which may include details you gave the provider. We never see your full card number.
- Reports: the reason and any details you write. To limit abuse we keep a hash of your IP address combined with a value that changes every day; we never store the IP address itself.
- Unsubscribes: a one-way hash of your email address, so we can keep respecting your choice without keeping the address.
- Statistics: counts of page views and purchase steps with country, language and campaign tags (UTM), with no name, email or identifier. Campaign tags are read from the link you arrived with and are not stored in your browser.
- Security: Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical browser data to deliver the site, block abuse and run the human check (Turnstile).
Cookies
We do not set cookies and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies.
Why we use your data
- To crown you, show your reign and keep the archives: to perform our contract with you.
- To take payments, handle refunds and disputes and keep accounting records: to perform the contract and to meet legal obligations.
- To tell you when you are dethroned: our legitimate interest in running the game for its players. You can opt out in one click at any time.
- To moderate content, prevent fraud and spam and keep the site secure: our legitimate interest.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the game is used: our legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data or build advertising profiles. The automatic text filter can reject a claim before payment; a person reviews every report and every decision to hide content.
Who receives it
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, human check and analytics.
- Creem: card payments, as merchant of record.
- NOWPayments: crypto payments.
- Resend: email delivery.
- Google Web Risk: we send the link you submit, and nothing else, to check that it is safe.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards they offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Public details of your reign: for as long as the archives exist, unless you ask us to anonymise them.
- Your email address: until 24 months after your last reign ends, or earlier if you ask us to delete it.
- Checkouts that were never paid: deleted within 90 days.
- Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 10 years.
- Reports: 12 months.
- Unsubscribe hashes: for as long as needed to respect your choice.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to receive a copy, to restrict or object to its use, and to anonymise your reign: your name, message and link are removed and the reign stays in the archives as an anonymous monarch. Write to support@internetmonarchy.com from the email address you used. We answer access requests within 10 calendar days and other requests within 5 business days. We keep what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Argentina, the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP), as the supervisory authority of Law 25,326, handles complaints from anyone whose data protection rights have not been respected. You may access your data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless you show a legitimate interest (article 14(3) of Law 25,326). In the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can contact the authority where you live.
Adults only
Internet Monarchy is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you think a minor has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
The site uses HTTPS everywhere, access to the data is limited to the operator, and payment secrets are stored encrypted by our hosting provider.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here with a new date.
